I’m a wedding photographer for the non- traditional yet traditional bride and groom! I'm drawn to simple and honest moments. My goal is to capture organic and candid moments. I take a photo journalistic and fine art approach when shooting weddings and families, meaning I look for real candid instances as they naturally unfold while giving creative direction in order to curate a cohesive story line.
Simply put, I want your photographs to look like they came right out of a magazine editorial spread.
new orleans wedding, family, and branding photographer
Prior to being a wedding photographer I spent a decade in between NYC and Los Angeles pursuing an acting career. When I was 25 my mom mailed me her camera and generously allowed me to take it to Paris, where I embarked on a solo trip of a lifetime!
I walked the romantic streets of Paris for two weeks. Viewing the world through my camera, I was forced to slow down and really take in the beauty around me. Not thinking much of my photos (as I was eager to get back to the hustle and bustle of NYC), I quickly mailed my mom her camera back. It was to my surprise when she called and mentioned that she thought I was on to something! My mom, who is an awesome photographer, naturally had all my photos printed. When my photographs arrived I was in awe and it was in that moment I knew I would be a photographer. As I slowly retreated from being in front of the camera, my love and passion to photograph people grew by the day.
To pay the bills I bartended and taught yoga. So how does that make me different you may ask? I know what it feels like to be in front of the camera, I have an understanding of what colors suit you best, the best angles to shoot, and the perfect light to showcase your love story. When photographing not only am I your photographer but I quickly turn into the set decorator , art director, costume designer , and therapist (that's when my yoga teaching comes in). Take a deep inhale and relax!
As a mother I understand the patience when photographing little ones. I would be honored to document your wedding, family, or business.
"I promise to find art where there may be none, I promise to try to become it if absolutely none exists. I will live in a manner in which I look back and know I chased two things throughout: all the light, all the grace."

Seeing your grandparents dancing on the dance floor! Especially when the DJ is playing "stand up and get crunk!" Lol, if you're from Nola, you know what I mean!
Sentimental Vows! The kind of vows that make me shed a little tear.
Capturing your loved ones reactions when they see you as a bride for the first time.
Reading your email or text message letting me know that I captured the essence of your family.
Watching sibling's interact. Belly laughing that makes you cry!
Capturing those in between moments when your child doesn't know I'm shooting.
